Nations and Teams

Entries to the ISDS World Trials this September at Lowther Park, Cumbria closed on 31 March.  This year we are delighted to welcome the nations of Brazil and Japan to the world trials for the very first time making a total of 23 nations competing. There has been a strong response from all nations with the majority of European nations requesting more spaces for their allocation – but unfortunately the system this year could only grant extra slots to the Home Nations.  Just two nations, Australia and South Africa have been unable to attend, and a very small number of spaces were left unfilled from countries that had longer distances to travel.  This has meant that, according to the declared rules, unfilled spaces were equally shared among the Home Nations raising their allocation to 24 dogs per country, having been previously cut back to 21 at the invitation stage.  The Home Nation handlers had been very keen to respond with almost everyone who had qualified taking their place.

The full list of handlers and the fields they will be competing on in the two days of preliminary rounds is now available here --> Start List

A list of those who have entererd Alternate dogs is available here --> List of Alternate Dogs
