International Sheep Dog Society's

2014 World Sheepdog Trials

Fearn farm, By Tain, Ross-shire, IV20 1TL on 03-06 September

Handlers from 26 countries will be competing with 244 dogs at the 2014 World Sheepdog Trials, to be held at Fearn Farm near Tain on 3rd - 6th September. South Africa and Spain will be competing for the first time.

The Scott family and the Scottish Trial community look forward to welcoming the sheep dog world to Fearn next September. 2014 is Scotland's Year of Homecoming and our World Sheepdog Trial kick starts two months of Homecoming celebrations across the Highlands.

Our plans for the event are progressing well, helped enormously by the financial support from the Homecoming Scotland 2014 Programme.   We have a super trial venue for you. The three qualifying fields each can accommodate an International qualifying sized course, and all are very conveniently situated around the public area where the facilities are located and where associated activities will take place.  Whilst the trial activity will be the main focus of this World Trial, complementary attractions are planned for all age groups with each evening's entertainment having a traditional Highland Ceilidh flavour.

Fearn is located in the heart of Easter Ross, an area easily reached from Inverness, the capital of the Highlands.   While you are here try to make time to tour around the rest of the Highlands where you will see some of the most breathtaking and wild landscape scenery that you will find anywhere in the UK, complemented by our Highland hospitality.

We look forward to seeing you next September.

Scottish National President
